What is the most rewarding part of volunteering for Alpha Sigma Phi?
Honestly, I do not believe that I would have been as successful if it was not for Alpha Sigma Phi. So, for me, to assist the ungraduated members and see them succeed has been the most rewarding aspect of this position.
How does your service benefit the undergraduates of the Fraternity?
In this role, I believe that I have provided sound advice on the fraternity. The undergraduate has been quite successful and I would hope to think that I had a hand in it! J However, I try to do more. I have also provided guidance on post college life by giving seminars on the interviewing process and I gave them a presentation on the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and intern opportunities at the bank.
What advice would you give to an alumnus or parent who is interested in volunteering?
Forget what you know, think or remember about fraternity life. Today’s Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity is truly committed to the phrase, “To Better the Man.” In order to do so, it is through volunteers that can pass on sound advice which will benefit these young men for their lifetimes.
