Membership Orientation Resources
There are three core components of a chapter’s membership orientation program:
- Alpha Sigma Phi Overview
- Membership Obligations
- Health and Safety
It is an expectation that all chapters’ membership orientation programs include content covering these three critical areas. It is additionally an expectation that new members build positive relationships with the chapter’s membership and one another through their orientation experience. As you design your chapter’s unique orientation program, ask yourself how you can craft an orientation experience for your chapter’s new members that reflects the experience your chapter presented in the recruitment process, is not overly time intensive, and encourages new members to build relationships with the chapter’s membership and one another.
Chapters have the freedom to add a variety of additional topics to their orientation program curriculum, as long as all orientation activities are completed, and new members are initiated, within a maximum of 35 days. Information related to additional topics your chapter may wish to include in its orientation program has been included below. The Membership Orientation Program Guidebook and TBTM Manual are also available.
