Theta Mu Chapter

On November 19, 2016, 46 men were initiated into the Theta Mu Provisional Chapter at Northern Illinois University. Members from the Delta Chi Chapter at Elmhurst College assisted Coordinator of Chapter Development Samir Hafiz, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and their Grand Chapter Advisor Scott Woodfill, Grand Valley ’08, with the initiation. The Silent Dinner took place in the Campus Life Building, room 100. The Initiation Ceremony took place in Dusable Hall, rooms 204, 206 and 228. The following men were present: Erik Marato, Elmhurst '13, Lucas Barnard, Elmhurst '14, Andrew Connet, Elmhurst '15, Nick Schulberg, Elmhurst '15, Thomas Sullivan, Elmhurst '15, Carlos Cantu, Elmhurst '15, and Luis Aburto, Elmhurst '16.
On November 20, 2016, Theta Mu was installed as a Provisional Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi and Niel Patel, NIU ’16, was the Installing President. The Installation Ceremony took place in Dusable Hall, room 176 on the NIU campus.
On February 17, 2018, the group officially chartered as the Theta Mu Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi. The Chartering Ceremony took place at the Barsem Alumni and Visitors Center on campus. Grand Senior President Matt Maurer, Bowling Green '03, served as the Installing Officer. John Drummond, Illinois State '88, and Evan Geiselhart, Illinois '82, were also in attendance.

Your submission will not be acknowledged unless it has been added to the website. It is very important that the chapter's history accurately and objectively reflect the chapter, so all corrections, additions, revisions should be reviewed by other members of your chapter/provisional chapter before they are submitted for consideration.
