INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

We will ask for information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you only in a few situations. Generally, this information is requested when you make an order through the online store, update your information, request a login for an online user account, or request additional information.

When logging into any section of the website, a personal identification number is assigned and sent to your computer in the form of a small text file, called a "cookie." The use of this "cookie" allows you to visit the password-restricted portions of our website, for which you have security access without having to sign in again. Cookies are also used to track website trends and statistics.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use your personal information for three primary reasons:

  • To make the website easier for you to use by not making you enter your login information more than once.
  • To help us create and deliver content most relevant to you.
  • To communicate special events and announcements, such as the Burns Leadership Institute, Academy of Leadership, Grand Chapter, and undergraduate and alumni news.

We occasionally contract with other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing, and delivery services. We will provide those companies only the information they need to deliver the service.

CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you register or otherwise give us personal information, Alpha Sigma Phi will not intentionally share that information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions already listed above.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Alpha Sigma Phi strictly protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Your personal information is never intentionally shared outside the organization without your permission, except under conditions explained above.

CHANGES TO THIS SITE

Alpha Sigma Phi will occasionally update this policy statement. When we do, we will also revise the "last updated date" at the bottom of the privacy statement.
