Help Welcome New Members into the Fraternity

Our Ritual is what makes us unique and helps separate us from other campus organizations recruiting undergraduate men. Performing our Ritual and ensuring that it is conducted in a manner that is consistent with the guidelines provided in the Ritual Book is a priority for the Fraternity.

In 2011, the Fraternity introduced an opportunity for alumni who are passionate about the Fraternity's Ritual. The new Ritual Team would be comprised of new and seasoned alumni that care about the Fraternity's Ritual and want to assist our undergraduate members in knowing and appreciating the historic significance of our ceremonies.

Ritual Team volunteers are brought to Alpha Sigma Phi Headquarters to participate in Ritual training. They are given the opportunity to read through the entire Initiation Ceremony, review how to conduct the ceremony, and are shown how to facilitate Ritual Education, so that they can do it with comfort on their own.

The Ritual Team is asked to assist with Pledge and Provisional Chapter Ceremonies, Initiation Ceremonies for provisional chapters, chartering weekend ceremonies, post-initiation Ritual Education for provisional chapters and/or new chapters, and to assist chapters within their geographic area that need help conducting the ceremony or with Ritual Education. Members of the Ritual Team also assist with the Ritual Track at Elevate.

The Fraternity covers travel, lodging, and meal costs when asked to assist with any of these events. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to express interest, please send an email to
