Endowments that Provide Academic and Merit Scholarships

"The Undergraduate Scholar of the Year scholarship helped me by providing me with financial assistance so I can continue to pursue academic excellence as well as continue to dedicate my time to the chapter. Without a scholarship like this I would have to focus more time on making money instead of helping to better myself and better my chapter. Scholarships like this can really make an impact in the lives of undergraduate members like myself and help them be the best men they can be." - Connor Davis, Central Michigan '12

Scholarship endowments have been established by donors, sometimes in honor or memory of someone, to recognize qualified members who are either an undergraduate or graduate student.  Funds in these endowments are managed and invested by the Alpha Sigma Phi Foundation and serve as a permanent scholarship fund.

To establish a scholarship fund, $25,000 must be committed over a three-year period which will provide for one, $1,125 scholarship or two, $562.50 scholarships.  Scholarships could be for academic achievement, needs-based or both.  Donors are able to indicate preferential consideration for a scholarship based on chapter, academic major/minor, career plans, etc.
