The Theta Delta Provisional Chapter at the University of Houston was started in the Fall of 2015 by Clint Crawford, East Carolina '11. The Initiation Ceremony was held on November 8, 2015 and was conducted by Scott Rarick, Capital '10. The provisional chapter initiated 36 men in their first semester, the initiation was assisted by Eta Eta (Texas), Eta Pi (Stephen F. Austin) and the GCA Kyle Dray, Bowling Green '97. The Colonization Ceremony was held on November 11, 2015 and was conducted by Scott Rarick, Capital '10. The found President was Jake Hawkins, Houston '15.
The Provisional Chapter chartered on April 29, 2017 and officially became the Theta Delta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi. Ceremonies were held in the Student Center Ballroom at the University of Houston. Grand Councilor Greg Kroencke, Illinois '91, led the ceremony with assistance from Director of Chapter Development, Tabatha Sarco. Isaiah Garcia, Houston '15, was the installing Chapter President.
